1. Acceptance of Terms
By placing an order through this website, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions.
These terms apply to all purchases made through this website.
2. Livestock Purchases
Shrimp and other aquarium livestock are living animals. Their health and survival depend heavily on the environment they are placed in after purchase.
Customers are responsible for ensuring that their aquarium conditions are suitable before purchasing livestock.
It is recommended that customers have:
- A fully cycled aquarium
- Appropriate water parameters
- Suitable tank mates
- Proper acclimation procedures
We cannot be responsible for livestock loss due to aquarium conditions after delivery.
3. Product Representation and Acceptance
Where possible, photos or videos of the livestock may be provided before delivery.
By confirming the purchase and accepting delivery, the customer acknowledges that they have reviewed and accepted the condition of the livestock prior to delivery.
4. Refund Method
If a refund is approved, it will be issued only to the original payment method used to make the purchase.
Refunds will not be issued via:
- Cash
- Bank transfer
- Alternative payment methods
Refunds will always be processed back to the same account used for payment.
5. Delivery Fees
Delivery or shipping costs are not refundable.
If a refund is issued for an approved claim, the refund will apply only to the product value, unless otherwise required by Australian Consumer Law.
6. Change of Mind
We do not provide refunds for change of mind.
This includes situations where:
- The customer orders the wrong product
- The customer decides they no longer want the product
- The customer finds the product cheaper elsewhere
7. Returns of Livestock
Due to the live nature of aquarium livestock and biosecurity concerns:
- Live shrimp or livestock cannot be returned once delivered.
Once livestock leaves our care, we cannot control the conditions in which it is kept.
8. Dead On Arrival (DOA) Policy
Due to the live nature of aquarium livestock, our guarantee is limited to Dead On Arrival (DOA) claims only.
If livestock arrives dead, the customer must notify us within 2 hours of delivery.
To submit a claim, customers must provide:
- Clear photos or video of the livestock
- Photos showing the livestock inside the unopened bag
- Photos of the shipping packaging
Failure to provide evidence within the claim period may result in the claim being rejected.
If the claim is approved, the resolution may include:
- Replacement livestock
- Store credit
- Refund of the livestock value
Delivery costs are not refundable.
9. Delivery Conditions
Customers must ensure someone is available to receive the delivery.
We are not responsible for livestock loss or damage caused by:
- Incorrect delivery address
- Delayed collection from courier
- Packages left unattended
- Exposure to extreme temperatures after delivery
10. Aquarium Responsibility
Customers are responsible for maintaining suitable aquarium conditions including:
- Water quality
- Temperature
- Tank compatibility
- Proper acclimation procedures
We cannot be responsible for livestock losses resulting from unsuitable aquarium conditions after delivery.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for livestock loss caused by:
- Improper aquarium conditions
- Incompatible tank mates
- Poor acclimation practices
- Customer negligence
12. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes or limits your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law.
Due to the live nature of aquarium livestock, any claims related to livestock condition must be made within the Dead On Arrival (DOA) claim period described in this policy.
13. Pricing and Availability
All prices listed on this website are in Australian Dollars (AUD).
We reserve the right to:
- Correct pricing errors
- Modify product availability
- Cancel orders where pricing errors occur
14. Privacy
Customer information collected during checkout will only be used for:
- Processing orders
- Customer service
- Delivery purposes
